we were 1.staying in someones home.clothes including Mens UNDERWEAR, personal mail, toys in drawers. Open Packet of cigarettes in cutlery drawer.Loose cash in drawers.Stocked freezer.KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN..... ....Medication in kitchen drawer (Below knee height)Anadin, Nicorette patches, Gaviscon,open nappy rash cream.2 X Cigarette LIGHTERS in SAME drawer3.temperature of the hottub had reached by 30 deg by1052pm4.General uncleanliness of lodge.Dust everywhere particularly unpleasant on bedside tables.5.Fruit waste stuck to bin lid.6.More KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN a.medication in shin height drawer in bathroomb.Used disposable RAZOR in same drawer.7.Broken thermostat 1 physically missing and 2 others that didnt work.Electric heaters supplied but no explanation of central heating.8. 1 of 5 lights outside working. Picture shows sunk lights which none worked.When we thought we were going in hottub I had to text Simon for permission to use owners tealights.Not reqd as hot tub unusable.9. 1 bathroom bulb of 4 working.10. Unclean outside area balloon debrisLitterIphone charger plugged in outside, in keeping with the air of somebody has just abandoned the lodge 10 mins b4 we arrived.11. Filthy windows.12.Filthy floor all rooms especially kitchen and dining table area
Great surroundings very quiet. A great retreat with a bubbly tub 5 Stars

My husband and I stayed there recently. When we booked in we were told we were upgraded. That's a joke the lodge was dirtyCleaning chemicals were stored in a cupboard. You only got hot water for a bath if you put the tap half on. The hot tub had seen better days the water wasn't even hot on the first night so couldn't use the hot tub. Only 2 teaspoons. After complaining got moved to the one should've been in in the 1st place. I wouldn't recommend this place
Nice tranquil site just could do with emptying bins more often.
